Teliny · Information

Privacy Policy

How Teliny handles personal information when you browse, contact us or use our travel-connectivity services.

Who is responsible

Omar Sedraoui, operating under the Teliny name, is responsible for the personal information described here. Address: Koulukatu 20B 21, 80100 Joensuu, Finland. Email: contact@teliny.com. Teliny is not currently an incorporated or registered company. This notice covers the Teliny website and customer dashboard, account registration and sign-in, support, and the information needed for eSIM orders and delivery. Some services, including public paid checkout, trial campaigns and referral benefits, may be unavailable until expressly enabled. Their availability is shown in the service; this notice does not enable them.

Information we process

Browsing generates technical information such as IP address, requested page, request time, browser/device details and security or error information. If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any details or attachments you supply. If you enable support chat, the chat service can process visitor identifiers, technical information, page/connection information and the messages, contact details and attachments you choose to send. Language, currency and privacy choices are stored in your browser as explained in the Cookie Policy. Please do not send passwords, full card numbers, complete eSIM activation codes or unnecessary identity documents.

When you create or use a customer account, we process your email address, account identifier, verification and sign-in records, and the profile details you provide. Authentication is provided through Supabase. If you choose an available Google or Microsoft sign-in option, that provider also processes the sign-in and supplies the account information needed to authenticate you. Never send your password to support.

For an order, we process the selected plan and destination, quantity, price and currency, order and payment references, payment and refund status, and delivery information. eSIM delivery records can include the eSIM identifier, QR or manual activation details, installation links and available service status. Keep these details private: someone with your activation information may be able to use your eSIM.

Where trial or referral functionality applies, we process the invitation, attribution and eligibility information needed to apply its rules and prevent repeated or abusive claims. Account and service security checks can also involve device or browser information, technical request information and verification results. Security and eligibility checks are not an invitation to send us unnecessary identity documents.

Purposes and legal bases

We use technical information to deliver and secure the website and diagnose faults, relying on legitimate interests in operating a safe, functioning service. We use enquiry and support information to respond to requests, take steps you request before a contract or provide support; where not necessary for a contract, we rely on legitimate interests in answering enquiries and resolving complaints. Relevant records can also be processed to comply with legal obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Optional chat storage and recognition are enabled only after your choice to allow them. Consent can be withdrawn through Cookie settings. Contacting support does not subscribe you to marketing.

We use account, order, payment-status and delivery information to take the steps you request and provide the agreed service, including account verification, order processing, installation details and service-related messages. This processing supports the contract with you or the steps you request before a contract. We also process relevant records to meet applicable legal obligations and handle complaints, disputes or legal claims. Security and anti-abuse measures support our legitimate interests in protecting accounts, preventing fraud and applying trial and referral rules fairly. Contact us if you believe an eligibility or security decision is incorrect.

Service providers and recipients

Hostinger provides website hosting, content delivery, security infrastructure and Hostinger Email for contact@teliny.com. These services process technical data and correspondence needed for their role. tawk.to provides the optional chat and support inbox and, where available, automated assistance. Authorized Teliny personnel can access enquiries needed to respond. Some website styles can request Google Fonts resources, which disclose technical request information to Google to deliver the font; the selected page and browser cache determine whether a request is made. We may disclose relevant information to authorities or professional advisers when lawfully required or necessary for a legal claim. We do not sell enquiry or chat information.

Supabase provides account authentication, backend database and application services, and storage used by Teliny. These services process the account, service and security records needed for their functions. More information is available in the Supabase privacy resources.

Stripe provides the hosted payment checkout and payment-related services when you choose to pay. It receives the information needed to process the transaction and can also process information for its own security, fraud-prevention and legal purposes as explained in the Stripe Privacy Policy. Teliny receives payment references and status needed to manage the order; card details are entered into Stripe’s payment interface, not a Teliny email or support form.

eSIMAccess supplies eSIM connectivity. For provisioning, Teliny sends technical order references, the selected supplier package and quantity, and the package parameters needed to issue the service. Queries and compatible top-ups can use the supplier order or eSIM identifier and, where needed, the eSIM’s ICCID. These technical records can relate to your service even when a request does not include your name or email address. The supplier’s privacy policy provides additional information. Relevant network operators also process the technical information necessary to connect and provide the service.

Cloudflare Turnstile helps protect account and checkout interactions from automated abuse. It processes technical client signals such as IP address and browser or connection characteristics. Cloudflare explains its service-protection and bot-detection processing in the Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

Account, order and support messages can be delivered through Teliny’s existing email infrastructure. These messages are service communications, not a marketing subscription. Optional support chat, hosting and Google Fonts remain described in the existing sections.

Optional chat and automated assistance

The support window opens when you click Need help? or allow it in Cookie settings. First-time visitors see a short privacy notice inside chat before starting; returning visitors may not see it again while their choice is remembered. You can use email instead. Chat may be answered by an automated assistant using the current conversation and support knowledge sources, or by a person when available. Chat messages can be retained in the support inbox even if an AI component does not keep its own conversation memory. Do not provide sensitive information that is unnecessary for the request. Ask for a human or email contact@teliny.com if an automated answer is unclear. We do not use chat alone to make legally significant eligibility decisions about you.

International processing

Service providers and their subprocessors may store or access information outside Finland and the EEA. tawk.to states that its support data is stored at rest in the United States. We do not promise that all information remains in Europe. Hostinger and tawk.to publish data-processing terms that include European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses for relevant transfers, alongside other applicable transfer mechanisms. Information about the relevant safeguards can be requested at contact@teliny.com. Provider information is available at https://www.hostinger.com/legal/dpa and https://www.tawk.to/data-protection/dpa-data-processing-addendum/. Google Fonts information is available at https://fonts.google.com/faq.

Providers can process information outside Finland and the EEA as described in their applicable privacy and data-processing terms. A selected database hosting region does not mean that every support, security or operational activity stays in that region. Information about relevant arrangements and safeguards can be requested from contact@teliny.com.

Retention

We retain enquiry and support information while a matter remains open and afterwards only while reasonably needed to handle follow-up, complaints, security incidents, legal obligations or legal claims. The need is assessed against the subject of the enquiry, whether a dispute remains unresolved and any applicable statutory period; unrelated information should not be kept solely because the support service permits indefinite storage. Hosting logs and backups follow the relevant service’s operating and security retention cycles, with longer retention where required for an identified incident or legal obligation. Browser-choice durations are listed in the Cookie Policy. You can request deletion; records still required for a legitimate legal purpose may be retained with restricted use.

We keep the account information needed to provide and secure your account. When an account is closed or you make a verified deletion request, we review which information can be removed and which specific records must remain for a service obligation, applicable legal requirement or unresolved claim. Closing an account does not by itself cancel a paid service or remove your refund or other mandatory rights.

Order, payment, refund and dispute records are kept for the applicable accounting, tax or legal requirements and while relevant claims remain unresolved. We review closed support tickets and their attachments six months after closure and remove information that is no longer needed, unless a documented service, dispute, security or legal reason requires it to remain. The six-month point is a manual review, not a guarantee that every record is deleted automatically on that date.

Where trial or referral restrictions apply, necessary eligibility records may remain while those campaign rules apply, including after account closure where needed to prevent repeated claims. We review those records when the rules or campaign change and when handling a closure or deletion request. eSIM installation and service details are reviewed after the service and related support or claims no longer require them. Keeping information for these purposes does not permit unrelated marketing.

The Teliny owner handles privacy and account-deletion requests sent to contact@teliny.com and reviews retention exceptions every three months and when relevant account, campaign or dispute circumstances change. We verify requests before disclosing or changing account information. Please never send your password, payment-card details or eSIM activation code with a request.

Your rights and choices

Where GDPR applies, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability and object to processing based on legitimate interests, subject to applicable conditions and exceptions. You can withdraw consent without affecting prior lawful processing. Email contact@teliny.com; we may need proportionate information to verify identity. We normally respond to data-rights requests within one month, with lawful extensions explained where applicable. You may complain to a competent authority, including the Finnish Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman at https://tietosuoja.fi/en/home. Email support can be used without optional chat.

Security, payments and updates

We use access controls and service-provider security measures appropriate to the information handled, but no online service can promise absolute security. Payment card details are entered through the available payment provider’s interface. Never send them by email or chat. Teliny uses payment references and status to manage orders and any required refunds. We update this notice when processing changes and provide additional notice where required. Selecting a destination does not require GPS permission.
